Healthy eating is never a likable option with hard core foodies. People are always particular about the quality of fuel to be used for their Mercedes but quality is always on a compromise when it comes to health issues.
People hog on to whatever comes their way, being least bothered about the consequences. Be it cookies, chocolates, gravy or some pulses, all have an equal rating. But the unwanted pounds that get added is a much neglected fact. There is very little difference between our body system and a car. A car that has been designed to run on petrol will never move an inch if diesel is poured into it. Similar is the case with human beings. For the normal functioning of the human body, it is very essential to eat the right things.

1. Eliminate junk food - This was very hard at first!

2. Buy and drink water or milk instead of soft drinks.
Read the label for ingredients and look for syrup content. That's where the fat are hiding.Children and even adults need milk or milk products on a daily basis. Milk will also help you feel stronger, provide calcium for healthy bones and healthy teeth, and you'll sleep better. Calcium has relaxing qualities. 3. Buy fruits in quantity. When they are in season, buy fruits in quantity and freeze any extras. You can buy several pounds this way, and freeze extras to have them when the fruit goes out of season. Wash the fruit well, remove any spoiled pieces, dry thoroughly, then freeze in plastic zipper bags.
You can even buy apples in season and not freeze them. Just place in a plastic bag in the bottom drawer of the fridge. They will stay fresh for weeks on end. My wife does this and we have fresh apple pies all Winter.

4. Meats and beans are a super health source.Meats and beans are the best sources for protein. Canned beans are always a great deal as well, as they give you protein at a great low price

5. Use beans as a substitute in meals.
The USDA recommends eating beans at least 4 times per week. If you experience gas after eating beans you should try washing them, covering them with water, bringing the water to a boil, then draining it off and refilling the pot. eating healthy is a lifestyle you will not regret.

Add fish meals at least twice a week
Typically fish is a 'must-have' inclusion in healthy eating tips. It is a great source of omega-3 fatty acids, vitamins and minerals. If you take at least 2 fish meals in a week, it offers you a great health benefits such as lowering high blood pressure, cardiac problems, and lowering cholesterol level.

Omega-3 fatty acids can not be produced by our body. Omega-3 fatty acids are helpful in decreasing cardiac problems, reducing high blood pressure, reducing the risk of arthritis, regulating abnormal heart rhythms, and promoting healthy brain function. Add varied lean red meat meals several times a week

While considering healthy eating tips, a special emphasis must be given on lean red meat meals. You may have this meal several times a week. If you are a vegetarian, you must have legume or nuts daily in your diet. If you do not have it or its alternatives in your daily diet, it means you are lacking the required supply of iron and zinc. Drink plenty amount of water
'Water is life' and possibly there is no one on the face of earth who can deny the fact. Every one knows the health benefits of water. This is an essential part of healthy eating tips.Almost 2/3rds part of our body is made up of water. Our blood contains 83% water, our muscles contain 75% water, our brain consists of 74% water and bone contains 22% water. Water is essential to absorb vitamins and nutrients in the blood stream. It also promotes the detoxification process by carrying out the bodily wastages from the body. Apart from that, it helps keep skin glowing and healthy. You should drink 5-6 liters of water daily to keep your system clean and healthy.
Eating healthy also helps you to remain young. Healthy eating is never an inborn thing but something that has to be inculcated.
Never try to skip your meals. This leads to a gastric problem which adds as a link to many other serious ones.
Reduce on the oil intake and try to include fresh fruits and vegetables. Salads,fruit and vegetable juices are apt for the people giving a thought to healthy eating.

A limit on the salt consumption is very much advisable. Too much of salt intake leads to high blood pressure.
Changes in the food habits should not be made all of a sudden. Our body system is a very delicate one and it prefers only gradual changes. It cannot handle too much of changes at a time. It is definitely advised to reduce food but never to eliminate it. This will add on to the problems rather than solving it.
